Position Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for delivering assigned vehicle programs by ensuring cost, schedule, and performance targets are met from pre-production through ongoing production. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing to support vehicle builds, manage changes, and resolve issues that impact program execution. You will play a key role in vehicle launch readiness, start of production, and post-launch performance, including warranty and field issue resolution. You will be successful by balancing technical judgment, execution rigor, and collaboration across multiple stakeholders. This role offers direct exposure to vehicle programs from development through production and lifecycle support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in consumer product development engineering or related technical roles
  • Experience supporting vehicle or complex product development from pre-production through production
  • Strong understanding of cost management, scheduling, and change control processes
  • Ability to apply engineering principles to technical and program-level decisions
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and remain quality and customer focused
  • Travel up to 10% as required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support project schedules including pre-production builds, milestone reviews, and critical path activities
  • Track and manage vehicle and BOM cost, including forecasting and margin improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate and drive issue resolution across engineering, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing teams
  • Lead change requests related to quality, warranty, safety, and unplanned updates
  • Support design-related styling, purchasing, and manufacturing tasks with focus on safety, quality, delivery, reliability, and cost
  • Support rework activities including investigation, documentation, deviations, and corrective actions
  • Provide direction, coordination, and design trade-off guidance to designers and engineers
  • Coordinate development, layout, testing, drafting, and fabrication activities to meet program objectives
  • Lead and participate in design and program reviews to ensure cross-functional input and alignment
  • Benchmark competitive designs, processes, materials, and product performance
  • Apply the Polaris Product Development Process and Change Control Board process
  • Lead resolution and closure of assigned issue reports (IRs)
  • Analyze manufacturing and field issues and implement corrective solutions
  • Perform other project-related assignments as needed
