Support development of new manufacturing processes, drive cost-saving initiatives, and ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability across the plant.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience leading project and working in a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering (or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD (UniGraphics preferred).
  • Ability to perform time studies, develop cost standards, and manage process changes.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and tools a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Develop and validate new manufacturing processes and methods. Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) on critical machines.
  • Engineering: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. Lead capital projects for the facility Research, design, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment. Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions. Establish reliability programs to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and coordinate cost-saving projects and kaizen events. Establish and verify cost standards and identify improvement opportunities. Support plant-wide safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Collect and analyze empirical data to identify opportunities. Develop models of alternate designs or processes to assess feasibility and sustainability.
  • Collaboration & Communication : Work cross-functionally with production, quality, and maintenance teams. Communicate project status, data, and ideas effectively across all levels.
