The Project Engineer is a field‑based, project‑specific role supporting trenchless construction activities on the Ballard Conveyance Project, part of Seattle’s Ship Canal Water Quality Project (SCWQP). Reporting to the Project Manager, this role focuses primarily on engineering documentation, reporting, and field coordination, with limited hands‑on field tasks related to quality and compliance. The Project Engineer will support complex underground work, including conveyance piping, microtunneling, shafts, and flow diversion structures. This opportunity is well suited for a junior‑level engineer seeking hands‑on exposure to large‑scale trenchless and underground infrastructure construction in an active field environment. This is a project‑based position, with an expected duration of approximately 7 months.
