About The Position

As a Project Engineer, you will design, define and implement complex system requirements for our customer. You will also prepare, study, and analyzes existing systems. You may also be required to determine system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. You will coordinate the design of subsystems and lead the integration of total system. You will report to the Manager of Engineering (Government & Marine) and work on-site at our customer location in Arlington, Virginia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • The ability to be on-site at our customer location in Arlington, Virginia full time.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of project engineering experience.
  • 8+ years of experience working with control system architecture.
  • Prior experience planning and implementing cyber security measures.
  • Experience with PLC coding and HMI configuration.
  • Previous project engineering experience in a highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support existing installed equipment and potentially new automation project commissioning.
  • Equipment includes PLCs, servers, computers, networking, and cyber security configuration
  • Analyze customer's requirements to determine the optimal automation, network, and cyber security solution and determines applicable hardware and software configuration / architecture
  • Create plans and other documents, such as software inventory, hardware inventory, control system architecture diagrams, software backup plans, disaster recovery plans, cyber security plans
  • Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution of automation control systems and networks
  • Perform cyber security hardening of computers, servers, virtual machines, and networking equipment
  • Maintain computers and servers with vmWare, Microsoft OS'es, Domain Controllers, and Rockwell Application Software
  • Write project reports
  • Lead the technical planning and direction of customer system testing
  • Take ownership of issues, capable of engaging all levels of the organization to drive issues to resolution
