Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline Required
1+ years of project /field experience working in the heavy civil construction industry Required
EIT Certification a plus
Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software such as Primavera (P6) AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Viewpoint,Procore
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external resources
Ability to effectively prioritize duties based on project schedules and project needs
Ability to self-manage with little or no supervision
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.

Responsibilities

Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements
Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management
Draft subcontractor agreements for review
Attends site and owner meetings
Oversee subcontractors and quality control and safety requirements
Prepare and track RFI’s, Monthly Pay Requests and Purchase Orders
Document Control: internals reports, tracking reports for equipment, time and materials, cost coding
Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards
Helps to plan work schedule and keep schedule updates in the system
Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements
Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems
Controls project costs by submitting expenditures and administering subcontractor contracts for review and approval
Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions
Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Other duties as assigned
