About The Position

Manages engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet technical and safety standards. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating resources, resolving technical issues, tracking progress, managing risks, and ensuring quality. They communicate with stakeholders, oversee budgets, and focus on continuous improvement to optimize efficiency and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management to meet deadlines and adapt to unforeseen situations.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the proven ability to communicate complex data to various stakeholders.
  • High proficiency utilizing scheduling, cost estimating and budget management software.
  • Strong computer competency and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or relevant discipline, from an Accredited Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) institution.
  • Five or more years of experience in project management, project engineering, or project planning (scope, schedule, cost, quality) within industrial manufacturing facilities.
  • Regular attendance is required during your scheduled shift.
  • Must be able to perform all duties within an environment that includes heat, stairs, ramps, uneven walking surfaces, noise, and dust.
  • Must be able to perform all duties within the power plant operations, which includes bending, steps, kneeling, reaching, and crawling.
  • Occasional lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Working towards achieving the Professional Engineer (PE) License is a plus.
  • Working towards Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Proficient utilizing Project Management Body of Knowledge (MBOK) terminology and standardization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Performs other related projects and assignments as business dictates.
