We are a leading contractor specializing in concrete restoration and historic masonry repair, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support our project management team. The Project Engineer will assist in planning, coordination, and execution of restoration projects, ensuring quality, historical integrity, and timely completion. This position will report to our office location in College Park, MD. Salary range : $75,000 – $85,000/annually

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in construction, preferably in concrete restoration, historic masonry, or similar specialties.
  • Familiarity with restoration techniques, materials, and historical preservation guidelines is preferred.
  • Strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and historical documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site as needed and travel to project locations.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers in the day-to-day management of concrete and masonry restoration projects.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and other documentation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to gather technical data and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor work progress, quality assurance, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Track project materials, equipment, and deliveries to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Assist in preparing estimates, take-offs, and proposals during the pre-construction phase.
  • Document project updates, change orders, and issues that arise during construction.
  • Help ensure that all work meets historical preservation standards and local building codes.
  • Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with field personnel to resolve technical issues and support effective communication between the field and office.
