About The Position

The Workforce Group, a LEMOINE company, is seeking an entry -level Project Engineer to support the Project Management, Estimating/Pre -Construction, and Field Operations teams in the execution of construction and residential recovery projects. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and will be eager to learn both construction and environmental compliance aspects of residential projects. This position is well -suited for candidates with limited direct experience who are interested in receiving hands -on training in estimating software, damage scoping, inspections, and environmental considerations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Prior experience is not required; candidates with limited field or estimating experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of construction fundamentals and residential building systems preferred.
  • Willingness to learn residential damage scoping, inspection processes, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to be trained in Xactimate estimating software.
  • Familiarity with or interest in environmental considerations such as lead -based paint is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast -paced, team -oriented environment and adapt to evolving project needs.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Management staff with administration and review of Contract Documents, including drawings, specifications, addenda, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change documents, ensuring documents remain current and properly distributed to Trade Partners.
  • Manage and track RFIs, submittals, document control, concrete placements, and material expediting logs.
  • Participate in job site and subcontractor meetings and assist with meeting minutes as assigned.
  • Support material procurement, expediting, delivery coordination, and verification of stored materials.
  • Support Estimating and Pre -Construction efforts by preparing Contract Document lists and reviewing plans, specifications, permit sets, and Owner requirements with the Estimator.
  • Perform subcontractor quantity take -offs and assist with development of tabulation sheets.
  • Assist in the preparation of commercial and residential estimates, including bid proposals, cost breakdowns, clarifications, scopes, and exclusions, in accordance with bid procedures.
  • Receive training in the use of Xactimate estimating software and support residential damage assessments and scoping activities.
  • Assist with residential project support activities, including scoping homes for disaster -related damage, supporting progress inspections, and assisting with final residential inspections to verify completion and compliance.
  • Participate in environmental and regulatory training related to residential construction and recovery projects, including environmental compliance requirements such as lead -based paint awareness, and complete applicable coursework or certifications as required.
  • Support project turnover and subcontractor engagement by assisting with value analysis and cost savings option logs, subcontractor comparison sheets, and subcontractor pre qualification efforts.
  • Assist Superintendents with daily scheduling, workforce coordination, production tracking, time and quantity coding, daily reporting, and inventory tracking of tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Perform other job -related duties as assigned.
