About The Position

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team! A Project Engineer is responsible for engineering in support of process and specialty gas operations. They perform engineering and project management work from initial idea / concept development to project commissioning and start-up. A Project Engineer creates designs, layouts, and equipment lists by reviewing project proposals and objectives. Project plans include performance standards, project schedule, budget, and desired outcome. After approval, the team executes the plan to completion. Communication and collaboration are required with project management, customers, operations, procurement, safety, and other business groups. The Project Engineer also works with the operating plants to develop innovative solutions for process, plant, and project-based problems. Maintains a thorough knowledge of new developments and technology. Develops and implements solutions, develops engineering criteria, reviews design and documentation to ensure compliance with design criteria standards. All activities will require excellent communication.

Requirements

  • Requires Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Leadership abilities, particularly in Safety.
  • Experience creating drawings using AutoCAD or similar program.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be willing to quickly adapt to changing situations, have strong communications skills.
  • Detail-oriented person who can work as part of a team or independently.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

Responsibilities

  • Develops project plans by reviewing project proposals and objectives
  • Develops and implements innovative solutions for plant and project-based problems
  • Determines project requirements by reviewing product requirements, customer specifications, and performance standards
  • Develops project schedule by reviewing project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements
  • Executes project plan and maintains project schedule, monitors project progress; coordinates activities; resolves problems
  • Controls project costs and approves expenditures
  • Ensures compliance with Linde policy and government regulations
  • Participates in field safety inspections
  • Troubleshoots plant process equipment and implements solutions
