About The Position

EQVAL Group, Inc. is a company that provides technical and engineering services to the manufacturing industry (Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnologies) and other service companies. We work with an extraordinary group of professionals (employees and contractors) to accomplish the requirements established by our customers, to perform and provide a highly effective service. The Project Engineer will lead and coordinate engineering projects, including equipment installation, process improvements, design control, and plant construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures. Work details: Environment: Medical Device / Manufacturing Location: On-site Work Arrangement: 100% on-site Long-term project with the possibility of transitioning to a regular/permanent position based on performance.

Requirements

  • Education: B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical preferred; other engineering disciplines considered).
  • Experience: 4–6 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical devices.
  • Experience with industrial equipment, process improvements, and plant projects.
  • Knowledge of construction/process/material validations.
  • Strong project management skills (Microsoft Project or similar).
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Ability to lead teams and coordinate cross-functional projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SPC, Lean/Six Sigma, JIT, TQC, GMP, QLP, and Design Control preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and FDA regulations preferred.
  • Knowledge of ergonomics, quality improvement, and customer satisfaction projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare User Requirements Specifications (URS) for process equipment.
  • Prepare contractor bidding packages for construction and equipment installation.
  • Guide contractors to comply with technical specifications.
  • Interact with internal functions (EHS, QA, Validations) and convert their inputs into project actions.
  • Coordinate project activities across the site and keep the project plan updated throughout the lifecycle.
  • Prepare updates for project forums.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement process improvements, capacity increases, scrap reduction, new technology introductions, and plant construction projects.
  • Coordinate plant activities related to Design Control ensuring compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the Facilities Engineering team in internal/external audits related to construction and Design Control.
  • Apply Project Management and Lean/Six Sigma tools to manage major plant projects (time, cost, quality).
  • Manage plant labeling changes process.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing methods for current product lines to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
  • Plan, design, and coordinate integration of machinery and equipment into manufacturing processes, including qualification/validation.
  • Provide support for manufacturing technology troubleshooting.
  • Implement training programs and encourage professional development of employees.
