About The Position

The Irvine site is the premier design, development and manufacturing source for Airframe Fuel Distribution and Measurement Products as well as Aerial and Ground Refueling Products worldwide. This individual will integrate with an existing mature engineering group and will be responsible for providing technical coordination and oversight of fuel system component development projects. Interfaces with customers and other external and internal functions to define the technical requirements and perform trade studies for new projects. Prepares technical proposals, cost estimates, and schedules for proposed projects. Prepares and maintains technical reports and presents technical information to customers and internal personnel in program reviews. Provides functional and technical requirements to internal support personnel and reviews design concepts and detailed drawings to ensure conformance. Establishes cost-effective developmental, qualification, and acceptance test procedures. Provides necessary technical assistance to ensure timely receipt of development and qualification test hardware. Provides engineering support of component testing, including analysis and interpretation of test data; initiates design changes and corrective actions. Utilizes the principles of Design for Six Sigma Supports continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Three years of project engineering experience
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (92618) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service memeber candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Working knowledge of aerospace fuel systems and/or pumps, valves, pressure/flow regulators, and/or other applicable fluid management hardware.
  • Must be able to work with other personnel in a team environment to identify and solve problems as well as define and implement process improvements.
