About The Position

The project engineer provides key support and direction on gas compression and production equipment projects focused on Customer Service and improvement of processes to ensure that project requirements are complete, accurate and on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline
  • 3-6 years of experience in the application of equipment into the gas gathering, processing, transmission and storage markets.
  • Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex and/or cross-functional problems.
  • Able to communicate with President and other senior management to summarize issues, present solutions, and facilitate complex decision-making
  • Able to achieve business objectives through influence
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong listening and data analysis skills.
  • MS Office Experience
  • Familiarity with CADWorx, Codeware Compress, SAP S4, ProMax and other tools as required to size and develop product line
  • Strong familiarity and experience with Ariel, Caterpillar, Waukesha, electric motors, and air cooled heat exchangers.
  • Capable to apply ASME, API, NEC and OSHA terms and guidelines on package applications
  • Ability to read, comprehend and comment to technical specifications
  • Read and modify technical P&ID diagrams

Responsibilities

  • Support application engineering team to review customer requirements and specifications.
  • Participate in the order hand off process between sales & application and project execution teams not limited to attending internal and external kick off meetings, verifying equipment sizing and assisting project management with developing engineering execution plan
  • Size and verify code calculations for pressure vessels
  • Responsible for driving engineering quality by participating in the development, checking or approving of P&ID, drawings, bills of materials.
  • Responsible for understanding of all supplier installation and application guidelines and ensuring packaging standards meet or exceed their requirements – including, but not limited to Ariel, Caterpillar, Waukesha,.
  • Check and or approve sub-supplier component sizing, documentation
  • Coordinate and review 3rd party engineering studies not limited to acoustical studies, torsional studies and structural studies
  • Participate in final package walk downs to ensure final product matches specifications and P&IDs.
  • Drive product improvements and cost out developments with all stakeholders.
  • Participate in development of new standard packages or product line expansions.
  • Support technical services with engineering support for warranty and field service issues
