About The Position

As a Remote Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our projects run smoothly from concept to completion. You will work closely with project managers, field teams, and clients to coordinate technical details, troubleshoot issues, and keep everything on track. While this role is remote, travel will be required to project sites to oversee execution, collaborate with teams, and ensure quality standards are met. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a sharp eye for detail, and enjoys problem-solving. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in project engineering, construction, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and project lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams remotely and on-site.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project site visits.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on large-scale civil engineering or construction projects is a plus.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) License or working towards certification.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • OSHA Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Work with project managers and cross-functional teams to develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
  • Technical Oversight: Review designs, specifications, and blueprints to ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and client expectations.
  • Field Support: Travel to project sites as needed to assess progress, resolve technical challenges, and coordinate with field teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify potential risks, troubleshoot on-site issues, and provide timely solutions to keep projects moving forward.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that materials, construction techniques, and workmanship meet Nexis Builds high-quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key point of contact between engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and clients, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Resource Management: Assist in procurement, logistics, and coordination of materials and equipment.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all engineering activities adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and safety guidelines.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project records, including reports, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement innovative solutions and best practices to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
