Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile As a Project Engineer, you will: Execute project management duties across several IPTs such as program planning, contract interpretation, and system integration, as well as cost and risk management. Assist project managers and leadership with monitoring and evaluating project progress and problem solving, including developing and assisting in managing detailed project plans, timelines, and technical content Administer Earned Value Management (EVM) best practices across varied engineering organizations as a Control Account Manager. Ensure Control Accounts are managed with acceptable Cost, Schedule, and Risk to meet sales and revenue goals by communicating and providing leadership with accurate and up to date status Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of Engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility Evaluate and administer risk and opportunity best practices; develop and administer mitigation plans and exploitation plans Ensure Engineering is coordinated across program and suppliers by coordinating government furnished items (GFx). Collaborating with all levels of personnel within the Team, other functional departments, programs, and government personnel Support other duties as assigned by program leaders

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in a STEM field from an accredited college
  • Project and program management
  • Experience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and Control Account Management (CAM)
  • Experience with a combination of design, test, operations and systems engineering disciplines.
  • Experience evaluating programmatic and technical risks and effectively developing mitigation activities
  • Secret Clearance
