About The Position

Provides engineering support to the operational departments and/or programs of Snowline Engineering to achieve company goals. Responsible for providing drawings, models, work instructions, tooling, technical support, production planning, and manufacturing improvements to meet the needs and expectations of our production team and customers. To achieve these goals, this position works with multi-shift departmental functions including operations, efficiency, administration, planning, budgeting, maintenance, and safety. Plans, supports, and helps to continuously improve production and engineering processes.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with Solidworks
  • Experience with ERP software
  • Should be familiar with all equipment on shop floor
  • Proficient in MS Office products
  • Knowledge of process workflows, procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies required
  • Time management skills and ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute all production planning and engineering activities in consideration of production, quality, customer service, budget, environmental, health and safety on assigned projects
  • Provide comprehensive engineering support to ensure production meets design and contractual requirements, including in-house manufacturing processes, external services, and final assemblies.
  • Responsible for company’s internal engineering data and processes: blueprints, models, tooling design, improvements to production processes, production planning, and new process development
  • Responsible for driving results and achieving operational goals and targets identified
  • Develop, document and implement processes and procedures to support efficient operations and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Manage improvement efforts across all areas that eliminate non-value-added processes and waste
  • Work closely with other staff members to maintain a well cross trained workforce
  • Ability to read and understand complex blueprints to determine the sequence of operations required to manufacture precise machined components and assemblies
  • Ability to review, contextualize, and convey contractual and specification requirements for assigned projects
  • Work in collaboration with COO and Program Manager to drive operational goals and other departmental managers to achieve customer requirement
