About The Position

We are one of Houston’s largest single-source providers of premier construction, tenant build-outs, HVAC systems, and mechanical services. As a construction engineering firm proficient in industrial design and construction, our services are enhanced by extensive mechanical engineering capabilities, as well as HVAC, commercial plumbing, and process piping expertise. The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager (PM) and Superintendent in coordinating and managing various aspects of construction projects. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors. #gowgar

Requirements

  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are a must-have for this position.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in or project coordination preferred
  • Knowledge of construction processes and documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, integrity and unquestionable ethics and is a respectful team player
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines effectively
  • Must have a high standard of quality with strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to safety and company values
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
  • The employee must use hands to handle objects or controls and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
  • The employee may need to travel to job sites and navigate uneven terrain.

  • Familiarity with construction management software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with vendors and schedule deliveries
  • Prepare and post RFIs, ASIs, and COs
  • Track submittals and maintain documentation
  • Develop ROMs estimates and assist with pricing
  • Perform QA / QC checks
  • Prepare JHAs and support safety planning
  • Facilitate Toolbox Talks
  • Other duties as assigned
