About The Position

Grecian Delight | Kronos Foods Corp is seeking Project Engineer - Corporate for our Glendale Heights, IL facility. This position is responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of capital projects that improve safety, efficiency, quality, and overall performance within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for operational improvement and translating them into well-defined capital initiatives. The corporate project engineer will lead projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budget constraints, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree required preferably in Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years in CI, CAPEX, Design position or equivalent role.
  • Autodesk Inventor, Auto CAD, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems
  • Detail oriented, organized and capable of handling multiple projects at a given time.
  • Knowledge of production machinery including meat processing, bakery, weighing and refrigeration and conveyors.
  • Knowledge of process and plant equipment including material handling equipment, extruders, pumps, and heat exchange boiler systems.
  • Basic knowledge of food processing plants and good manufacturing practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Strong financial acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Project management including preparation of project schedules, project budget tracking and installation supervision.
  • Large scale expense and capital project budget preparation and adherence.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend machinery or systems for specified applications.
  • Vendor and internal teams management.
  • Work with marketing and commercialization to identify customer needs, product specifications, installation costs and production execution.
  • Work with purchasing and supply chain to specify packaging needs and options.
  • Train employees in new processes, procedures, and methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Gather necessary information for projects, including dimensions, pricing, equipment capabilities, electrical and pneumatic needs, etc.
  • Work closely with outside fabrication shops, controls & electrical engineers, and production supervision to ensure projects are completed correctly.
  • Document and modify drawings based on engineering notes, sketches and supervision.
