About The Position

Gregory Construction, a Christian-principled, award-winning heavy civil contractor, is seeking a Project Engineer to support large-scale data center site development projects. This position plays a critical role in supporting project teams in the execution of complex heavy civil earthwork, utilities, grading, and site infrastructure scopes. Project Engineers work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Gregory Construction’s high standards of quality and integrity. This role requires travel across multiple regions, including the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southwest, and other project locations as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow within heavy civil construction while contributing to high-profile data center developments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Entry-level to early-career candidates encouraged to apply
  • Basic understanding of heavy civil construction methods, means, and materials
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively for project assignments

Nice To Haves

  • Prior construction internship, co-op, or field experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily field and project operations
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals to support accurate construction execution
  • Assist with quantity tracking, purchase order requests, material procurement, and delivery coordination
  • Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, logs, and records
  • Assist with schedule updates, cost tracking, and production reporting
  • Participate in project meetings and coordination efforts
  • Support enforcement of safety, quality, and compliance standards on all job sites
  • Assist with change management, as-built documentation, and closeout activities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success
