About The Position

The City of North Salt Lake is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Project Engineer (Grade 32; salary range: $109,800 to $161,600 based on qualifications). This full-time position involves professional and administrative work related to the planning, review, design, and construction of public and private infrastructure. The Project Engineer ensures compliance with City codes and standards, coordinates with consultants and contractors, and supports the timely completion of municipal projects. The Project Engineer will review engineering designs, manage project budgets and schedules, conduct site inspections, and collaborate with City departments, developers, and the public to deliver well-designed and sustainable community infrastructure. The role requires strong technical knowledge, quality oversight during construction, and effective communication to ensure projects meet safety, cost, and regulatory standards. Standard office hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The City offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and participation in the Utah Retirement System.
