About The Position

CORE is looking for an entry level Construction Professional to participate in the operations of mid to large-scale commercial construction projects throughout Southern Nevada. The new Project Engineer (PE) will serve on a team leading one or more large-scale construction phase projects and staff members for a wide range of institutional clients, including colleges, universities, K-12 districts, municipalities, healthcare systems and more. The PE will review and process shop drawings, submittals, and update drawings with as-built information relating to ASI's, RFI's, PR's and any field conditions. The PE will also assist in organizing the project's punchlist, gather Full & Final Change Orders, warranty letters, O&M documentation and all closeout related items. Additionally, the PE will work with the Superintendent and Assistant Project Manager with RFI documentation to the architect and manage distribution to all trade partners.

Requirements

  • Relevant work experience/internship working for a commercial construction, engineering or architecture company
  • Basic ability to read drawings and specifications
  • Basic knowledge of schedule and tracking of procurement of long lead items.
  • Willingness to relocate to or near Las Vegas, NV
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Basic understanding of industry Software and Applications, such as Bluebeam, Procore, Etc.
  • Basic understanding of the CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods
  • Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
  • A valid Driver's License
  • This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Degree in construction management, architecture or a related field (mechanical or civil engineering, construction tech, interior design, business administration) is preferred
