About The Position

EBAD’s continued growth requires an experienced senior engineer for the position of Project Engineer, Electronics, reporting to the Project Engineer Lead. The position is located in Simsbury, CT. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned engineer to expand their leadership capabilities while driving impactful project execution through technical expertise, project management, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field of project management or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required experience includes problem solving/root cause analysis, leadership of multi-function technical teams, project management, technical writing and cost estimating experience.
  • Support the development, monitoring and management of project budgets.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance and be capable of working on U.S. DoD and ITAR restricted products.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite software (Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with product development and/or complex production operations is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification not required but desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Create a cohesive team environment and lead the product team through electronics product lifecycle processes in support of overall program milestones, deliverables, and objectives.
  • Translate the project schedule into actionable daily tasks, while managing team action items through oversight, regular communication, and proactive removal of roadblocks.
  • Guide teams through upset conditions, drive recovery efforts and reestablish progress toward key milestones.
  • Collaborate with Program Management to proactively plan customer deliverables, reviews, and hardware in alignment with overall program objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Program Manager on critical schedule risks and their potential impacts to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Creation and regular maintenance of detailed (Level 4) project schedule.
  • Own and facilitate a visual management system to lead project team meetings, ensuring clear communication of priorities, alignment on goals, performance tracking, and transparent project status updates.
  • Understand task interdependencies and manage shifting priorities.
