About Kalos Services We are a multi-trade contractor headquartered in Clermont, Florida, and working throughout Florida and southern Georgia. Kalos operates Electrical, Building Automation, HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Carpentry, Concrete, Structural Steel and Site Work trades often engaged in occupied commercial facility renovation. Role Overview Kalos Services is hiring a Project Engineer to drive documentation discipline and project controls. This position owns the technical and administrative management of the project under the supervision of a Project Manager. This role is vital for reducing the administrative burdens on PMs, resulting in faster execution and better margin protection. Active engagement with PMs, Superintendents and field leaders will enhance learning and execution. Core Purpose The Project Engineer is responsible for effectively and efficiently circulating documentation, compliance, and project controls to project stakeholders to ensure awareness. This position requires proactive management of project data and bridges the gap between field and office, maintaining rigorous standards in documentation-heavy environments. Compensation $72,000-$82,000/annually depending on prior experience

Requirements

  • Must be capable of working in commercial renovation and occupied facility environments.
  • Must possess the ability to manage documentation discipline independently, ensuring the role remains technical and operational rather than purely clerical.
  • High level capabilities in the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, GMail,/Spaces/Chat), project management and financial tracking software, and proficiency with construction drawings and specifications.
  • Clean background check, drug-free, and a clean or near-clean driving record
  • Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs. and working on ladders or scaffolding
  • Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety, OSHA compliance, and enforcing safety standards across all project phases

Responsibilities

  • Documentation Ownership: "Own" the discipline of project documentation, ensuring no lag in paperwork or processing.
  • RFI & Submittal Management: Manage the full lifecycle of project submittals and RFIs, ensuring timely responses and approvals.
  • Change Management: Execute proactive change tracking rather than reactive logging to prevent margin erosion.
  • Compliance & Controls: Manage project compliance requirements and oversee project controls.
  • Closeout & Schedule: Drive the project closeout process and provide high-level support for schedule maintenance.
