About The Position

Emerson is seeking a Project Engineer for our Branson Ultrasonics Innovation Center in Farmington Hills, MI, operating on a 4x1 hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 remote). This role leads engineering projects from concept through completion, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget while serving as a key liaison between engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Engineering, Technical project or Product development roles.
  • Experience following standardized project workflows.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration amongst team members.
  • Ability to travel 15% based on business need
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a technical, manufacturing or engineering industry.
  • PMP or similar certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Project Management software (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
  • Experience with CRM (Oracle, SalesForce, etc.)
  • Experience in custom equipment, automation, or Engineered-to-Order (ETO) environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collectively collaborating with a team of Project Engineers and Project Technicians responsible for delivering large, project-based business, ensuring effective management of time, cost, and quality.
  • Support engineering projects through all phases, including requirements gathering, design, testing, validation and launch.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and progress reports.
  • Manage project scope, deliverables, resources and risks to ensure on-time completion.
  • Support post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across project workflows.
  • Perform engineering calculations, modeling, quality, supply chain, and customers to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
  • Partner with customers to understand requirements and translate them into actional engineering deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication across teams and ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering quality, efficiency, and project delivery.
