The Role: We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Project Civil Engineer / Sr. Project Civil Engineer (Transportation) to support our Transportation Engineering Team in our Roseville (Sacramento area) office. In this role , you will support Project Managers in delivering transportation infrastructure projects and contribute to the design of roadway, highway, and multimodal improvements for clients including local agencies and Caltrans. Our team works on a variety of projects such as roadway and intersection improvements, interchange design, active transportation facilities, downtown revitalization, and drainage and water quality enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California
• 3+ years of professional civil engineering experience (8+ years for Sr. Project Engineer)
• Experience supporting transportation-related design projects
• Working knowledge of roadway design software and AutoCAD/Civil 3D
• Familiarity with Caltrans, local agency, and AASHTO design standards, regulatory compliance, and agency coordination

Nice To Haves

• Experience delivering projects for Caltrans, local municipalities, or regional transportation agencies
• Experience with active transportation, transit, or multimodal infrastructure projects
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering studies, design calculations, and plan production for transportation projects
• Support design of roadways, highways, transit and bicycle facilities, drainage, signing/striping, and traffic control/staging plans
• Coordinate with subconsultants and multidisciplinary internal teams
• Participate in client meetings and presentations
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development

• Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
• Incentives: Discretionary bonus and recognition programs
