About The Position

RS&H is seeking a Project Administrator/Project Engineer to join our growing Transportation-Construction Management (T-CM) team in the Leesburg or Northern Orlando, FL area. This position will work outside on an active construction site. As part of the construction management team, you’ll serve as an owner’s representative, supporting inspection and contract administration on large-scale transportation projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • If holding a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management: Two (2) years of engineering experience on relevant transportation projects A Master’s degree may substitute for one (1) year of experience
  • Without one of the above degrees: Eight (8) years of CEI, roadway, or bridge construction experience Two (2) of those years must involve relevant transportation projects
  • FDOT Advanced MOT
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level II
  • CTQP Quality Control Manager (must attend and pass examination)
  • Experience with construction of major roads or bridge structures
  • FDOT experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle safely on highways and job sites
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Passion for working outdoors and ability to tolerate field conditions
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Highway Design and Work Zone Traffic Control Plans
  • Experience with alternative delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, or CMGC
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification

Responsibilities

  • Manage consultant contracts, including responsibility for accounts receivable, subconsultant management, and client interface.
  • Direct construction engineering administration and inspection programs.
  • Review and draft project correspondence, claims, change orders, and time extension requests.
  • Verify construction activities for compliance with contract documents.
  • Plan and organize the work of others, which may include managing a small team.
  • Assist in all phases of the construction project including progress and final estimates.
  • Participate in the marketing and development of new opportunities and contract pursuits.
  • Develop or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures.
