About The Position

You will be the Project Engineer for the Engineering Services team. Our team provides project‑management expertise and functional support to more than 160 engineers across multiple Lockheed Martin sites. What You Will Be Doing As the Project Engineer you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering engineering projects while serving as the primary liaison for New Business Funds (NBF) and the Principal Investigator (PI). Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Develop and maintain disciplined budget and variance analysis for assigned projects, ensuring accurate reporting in Opportunity Hub. Coordinate capital‑project oversight, space allocation, and departmental procurement to keep schedules on track. Facilitate new‑employee onboarding, staffing analysis, and overhead‑management activities to sustain team productivity. Serve as the central point of contact between Andover, Chelmsford, Westford, and other Lockheed Martin locations, driving clear communication and issue resolution. Identify and implement continuous‑process‑improvement opportunities that enhance project execution and documentation quality. Further Information About This Opportunity This position is in Chelmsford. Discover more about our Chelmsford, Massachusetts location. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company‑sponsored interim secret clearance is required to start.

Requirements

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite, (Specifically Pivot Tables and Presentations).
  • Experience with EVM and Variance Analysis.
  • Ability to track, prioritize, and complete multiple overlapping tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience building relationships and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and must also be able to obtain an interim Secret prior to start. Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Detail-Oriented Execution: Consistently produces accurate, compliant work that adheres to both company policies and government regulations.
  • Familiarity with functionality of electronic components.
  • Experience working in defense company with engineering or manufacturing background.
  • Analytical with an investigative approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with specialized application software (SAP).
  • Project Management proficiency and experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
