Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 6-10 years of experience developing awesome products
  • Possess strong technical chops and a passion for product excellence
  • Confident leading medium-scope projects and juggling competing priorities with ease
  • A collaborative team player who communicates clearly with cross-functional and global teams
  • Analytical, organized, and curious
  • Skilled in SolidWorks, Altium, Excel, SharePoint, and project management tools
  • Hands-on with test equipment: multimeter, thermocouples, power supplies, soldering irons

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with international manufacturing partners and suppliers
  • Familiarity with testing standards and regulatory requirements (UL, DOE, etc.) is a plus
  • Minitab/statistical knowledge for DOE or tolerance analysis is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Turn great ideas into great products by defining clear, consumer-driven product specs
  • Build feasibility models, select key components, and help shape what the product can and should be
  • Design test methods and validating system performance
  • Bring products to life by applying your knowledge of mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and electronics
  • Work together with OEM partners to fine-tune designs and explore the best manufacturing methods
  • Lead design reviews that get everyone aligned and excited about where the product is headed
  • Keep an eye on the competition—spot what they’re doing well (or not so well) and find ways to do it better
  • Take charge of large-scale engineering projects: build BOMs, own engineering changes, and qualify design updates
  • Gather input from all corners of the business, manage trade-offs, and make sure projects stay on track
  • Stay organized and in control by managing key project elements like scope, timeline, cost, and communication
  • Prototype like a pro—fabricate proof-of-concept models and develop test plans to learn fast and iterate faster
  • Always be improving—dig into existing designs and look for ways to make our products even better
