About The Position

Performs engineering design evaluations and supports execution of capital projects within budget and schedule constraints. Ensures alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives while providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle. Works under general guidance with established processes and supports the Project Manager as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required)
  • Local candidates only (Williston, ND area or surrounding region)
  • Experience across engineering, construction, and project management/control activities
  • Broad, multi-discipline experience across multiple project assignments
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design standards, specifications, and work processes
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and planning abilities
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, high workload, and shifting priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ExxonMobil systems (EMCAPS) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering design evaluations and support project execution
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Review production, maintenance, and operational reports to identify and resolve issues
  • Provide technical support throughout engineering and construction phases
  • Support project delivery within budget and scheduling constraints
  • Assist as backup to Project Manager when required
  • Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection
  • Support identification and sourcing of long lead equipment and coordinate with FEED contractors
  • Coordinate development of EMCAPS (ExxonMobil Capital Project Management System) Gate 3 deliverables
  • Coordinate development of Functional Interaction Plan
  • Manage and support project issue resolution processes
  • Coordinate and track change requests; support change authorization process
  • Ensure assigned work scope is completed in alignment with project objectives
  • Engage project team and functional resources to ensure design and construction meet specifications and standards
  • Serve as interface between Project Team and Contractors
  • Ensure smooth transitions between project phases
  • Support Project Management Team (PMT) in applying project management systems
