As a Geotechnical Engineer at RK&K you will have the opportunity to work across disciplines to prepare plans and reports related to geotechnical projects for variety of clients in the transportation and municipal sectors; you will conduct and supervise field investigations; develop design computations; and prepare of geotechnical recommendations, contract plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.

Requirements

BS in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree
Professional Engineer License is required
Four (4) + years of Geotechnical Design experience
Passion for client service and engineering
Significant understanding of the following: gINT, LPile, APile, MSEW, FB-Pier, Rocscience products, and GRLWEAP
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of Microstation

Nice To Haves

MS or advanced degree in Civil Engineering preferred
Six (6) + years of Geotechnical Design experience, TDOT experience preferred

Responsibilities

Assist in the development geotechnical portion of proposals and subsurface exploration programs
Perform geotechnical analysis using approved software
Preparation of bridge, roadway, retaining wall foundation, and structure recommendations
Preparation of Geotechnical Sheets
Collaborate on innovative design concepts related to Geotechnical Engineering
