As a Geotechnical Engineer at RK&K you will have the opportunity to work across disciplines to prepare plans and reports related to a variety of geotechnical projects for variety of clients in the transportation and municipal sectors; you will conduct and supervise field investigations and develop design computations; and prepare of geotechnical recommendations, contract plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates

Requirements

BS degree in Civil Engineering
Two (2) + years of Geotechnical Design and NCDOT experience
Passion for client service and engineering
Significant understanding of the following: gINT, LPile, APile, MSEW, FB-Pier, and GRLWEAP
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of Microstation

Nice To Haves

MS or advanced degree in Civil Engineering
Engineer Intern (EI) license

Responsibilities

Assist in the development geotechnical portion of proposals and subsurface exploration programs
Perform geotechnical analysis using approved software
Preparation of bridge, roadway and retaining wall inventory reports and foundation recommendations
Post-bid retaining wall plans
Foundations recommendations for other structures
Innovative design concepts related to Geotechnical Engineering
