About The Position

Join Our Team as a Project Engineer where you will partner closely with the Circuit Design Engineering team to manage end-to-end parts procurement, inventory tracking, and alternative part qualification across electronics for the Space Protection Programs business area. This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Littleton CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. Requirements

Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as SAP
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Ability to work independently of direct supervision
Proven ability to proactively identify and drive change
Understanding of project management and/or earned value management
Knowledge of program life-cycle and how early milestones may drive future costs
Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Eligibility and willingness to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

Strong understanding of electronic components, part families, and manufacturer part numbers
Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical drawings.
Exposure to DFx Principles (Design for Affordability, Design for Manufacturability, etc.).
Ability to communicate issues and additional resource needs to leadership.
Experience with subcontracted hardware suppliers.
Detail oriented and excellent problem solving skills
Team player with strong communication skills and positive attitude

Responsibilities

Work directly with CPEs, MRP, buyers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of reliable components that meet design, cost, and schedule requirements while supporting risk mitigation and design flexibility.
