About The Position

Join Our Team as a Project Engineer where you will partner closely with the Circuit Design Engineering team to manage end-to-end parts procurement, inventory tracking, and alternative part qualification across electronics for the Space Protection Programs business area. This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Littleton CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. Requirements

  • Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as SAP
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently of direct supervision
  • Proven ability to proactively identify and drive change
  • Understanding of project management and/or earned value management
  • Knowledge of program life-cycle and how early milestones may drive future costs
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of electronic components, part families, and manufacturer part numbers
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical drawings.
  • Exposure to DFx Principles (Design for Affordability, Design for Manufacturability, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate issues and additional resource needs to leadership.
  • Experience with subcontracted hardware suppliers.
  • Detail oriented and excellent problem solving skills
  • Team player with strong communication skills and positive attitude

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with CPEs, MRP, buyers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of reliable components that meet design, cost, and schedule requirements while supporting risk mitigation and design flexibility.
