This role is critical in ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. This role sits on site in our Dallas, TX office with required travel (10-30%) on an as needed basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in construction management, construction science, or relative program.
  • 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with construction documents, processes, and project lifecycle.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and email; and must have the capability of becoming proficient with various Programs and Applications related to the work such as Smart Sheet, Procore, Building Connected, and other project management software.
  • OSHA 30, or ability to acquire, is required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
  • Coordinate pre-construction activities including permitting, utility coordination, and preliminary submittals.
  • Participate in project planning meetings with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Track project milestones and critical path items to ensure timely completion of all phases.
  • Maintain and manage project documentation including RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, transmittals, meeting minutes, drawing logs, and specifications.
  • Distribute and track construction drawings and revisions ensuring the field team has the latest documents.
  • Draft, issue, and track RFIs to clarify design details and resolve conflicts.
  • Log, review, and follow up on submittals to ensure timely approval and material procurement.
  • Assist in the solicitation, evaluation, and selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate subcontractor schedules and activities to ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Track delivery and installation of long-lead items and specialty equipment.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with contract scope, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, cost forecasts, and change orders.
  • Track quantities, labor, materials, and equipment costs.
  • Assist with change management including preparing pricing requests and negotiating with subcontractors and clients.
  • Help process and track subcontractor and supplier invoices and pay applications.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify work is installed per plans, specifications, and code requirements.
  • Document and track deficiencies, punch list items, and corrective actions.
  • Support the implementation of the project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan.
  • Ensure safety policies are followed by maintaining up-to-date logs and coordinating with the safety team.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and inspectors.
  • Attend owner/architect/contractor (OAC) meetings and contribute to project updates.
  • Communicate progress updates, project risks, and concerns effectively to project stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of final documentation including as-builts, warranties, and operation & maintenance (O&M) manuals.
  • Coordinate final inspections, punch list completion, and project turnover activities.
  • Ensure all deliverables are submitted and accepted before project closeout.
