About The Position

As part of the broader Consumer & Fan Insights team, and reporting to the Fan & Partner Insights Lead, the Commercial Insights & Measurement Director will be a strategic and analytical consumer & commercial insights professional supporting our Global Media Partnerships and Data Collaboration teams. This role will be charged with compiling and translating both first party and third-party fan & audience data into actionable insights that inform partnership media campaign strategies, data collaboration revenue growth opportunities and measure success against defined partnership objectives for ROI and KPIs. You’ll lead efforts to understand and profile consumer behavior and attitudes, evaluate partner campaign and data collaboration effectiveness, and identify opportunities to leverage high-value audience segments using syndicated, proprietary and first-party data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • 8+ years in commercial and/or consumer insights, marketing analytics, or ad sales research, preferably with digital, broadcast media and/or agency experience
  • Strong grasp of media measurement methodologies and applications (brand lift, sales lifts, behavioral lifts, attribution, MMM, etc.)
  • Experience working with and mining first-party data (e.g. SQL), syndicated data (e.g. GWI, ComScore, MRI-Simmons, etc.), audience profiling and segmentation tools, social listening tools (e.g. Talkwalker)
  • Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to translate data into business impact
  • Experience presenting to senior level management and client teams
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to successfully navigate cross-functional teams and prioritize across competing needs
  • Familiarity with ad sales operations and ad tech platforms (DSPs, DMPs, CDPs)
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Partner with media partnerships and digital ad sales teams to deliver audience insights that inform campaign strategy and client pitches
  • Design and execute campaign effectiveness studies to measure impact across key performance indicators (KPIs) – e.g. brand, sales, behavioral lifts
  • Translate campaign effectiveness study findings into compelling narratives that demonstrate partner ROI and support renewals and upsells
  • Leverage first-party data to identify, profile, and segment high-value audiences based on partner and market needs
  • Develop scalable measurement tactics to quantify the value of audience-based targeting and data collaboration for partners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analytics, data enablement, data platforms & technologies and data science teams to enhance audience segment offerings, data collaboration opportunities and go-to-market strategies
  • Present insights to internal stakeholders and external clients with clarity and strategic relevance
  • Support go-to-market efforts with data-driven storytelling and audience intelligence
  • Stay informed industry trends in audience insights, campaign measurement and data enrichment, collaboration and monetization
  • Promote sales cycle acceleration through delivery of timely actionable insights that drive both short-term and long-term partner relationships and maintain competitive edge in market
  • Manage measurement vendor relationships and assess new vendor methodologies for applications to expand and innovate partner offerings
