About The Position

ROCKWOOL North America (RW-NA) is seeking a Project Director – CAPEX to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multi-million-dollar capital projects that shape the future of our operations. This position will report to the Vice President, Operations – North America. Are you a strategic project leader with a passion for driving complex capital investments from concept to completion? In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of CAPEX initiatives across North America. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, manage large-scale budgets, and ensure each project aligns with our long-term investment and operational strategies.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in engineering (or related field) and 10+ years of senior project management experience.
  • Proven success managing large-scale, multi-site capital projects—preferably in manufacturing, building materials, or industrial sectors.
  • Expertise in continuous production equipment; knowledge of abatement technologies is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and coaching project teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including reporting to executive leadership.
  • Ability to work cross-culturally and travel regularly as required.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials are a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage CAPEX projects within RW-NA, ensuring alignment with the 3-year investment roadmap.
  • Provide strategic, technical, and operational oversight to project managers and engineering teams.
  • Oversee project budgeting, resource planning, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Personally lead complex or high-impact projects, driving collaboration and timely execution.
  • Ensure compliance with ROCKWOOL’s standards and all federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Support start-up and training efforts in partnership with factory production and maintenance teams.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and milestones clearly with senior leaders, including Factory Directors and the VP of Operations.
  • Champion continuous improvement and develop the future project capabilities of the team.
