Project Development Engineering Intern

Middle River PowerSpokane, WA
$28 - $28Onsite

About The Position

Middle River Power is a private equity-backed independent power producer with over 8GW of natural gas, coal, battery storage, and solar assets across the U.S. We're a lean team of ~100 people building the infrastructure of the energy transition and we operate like a growth company, not a utility. Our development team is actively advancing a pipeline of utility-scale projects, and this summer we're bringing in one engineering intern to work alongside them. At Middle River Power we develop, construct, own, and operate power generating assets. We build projects that respond to customers’ needs. We take tangible steps in the energy transition from traditional carbon emitting generators (boilers and turbines) to optimized facilities built around renewable generating technologies. This is not a shadow program. You will be assigned to real, active development projects, helping the team move work forward on engineering coordination, permitting research, interconnection tracking, procurement support, or project scheduling. We build projects that respond to customers’ needs. We take tangible steps in the energy transition from traditional carbon emitting generators (boilers and turbines) to optimized facilities built around renewable generating technologies. Your specific assignment will depend on where the pipeline is when you start, but the expectation is the same: contribute something that matters.
