Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in IT, engineering, or application support.
  • Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of SQL scripting languages, and Komatsu products or similar applications.
  • Strong technical acumen in mining technology systems, infrastructure, and operations.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex deployments in dynamic environments.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related discipline preferred
  • Proven experience deploying Komatsu or comparable mining technology solutions.
  • Direct experience working in or supporting the mining industry.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience working with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Fluency in Spanish or additional languages for multilingual environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers, key account managers, and customer stakeholders to define scope and support pre-sales activities when required
  • Conduct comprehensive site assessments to evaluate infrastructure, fleet compatibility, and network readiness.
  • Develop detailed deployment strategies including software/IT requirements, logistics coordination, and risk mitigation
  • Ensure all site access, qualifications, and certifications are current and maintained
  • Execute deployments through installation and configuration of Komatsu's technology suite (Dispatch, Provision, MineCare, Argus, Pegasys, Mine 4D, Mine Platform, etc.)
  • Complete system upgrades with customers, including gap analysis, functionality testing, and validation.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure systems meet operational requirements
  • Troubleshoot networks, wireless communications, and Komatsu applications using SQL, Forms, and Unix/Linux Shell scripting
  • Assist with the installation and configuration of Komatsu's Mine Platform solution, including both hardware and software components
  • Support regional training teams in delivering technical training to operators, maintenance personnel, and IT staff
  • Provide site-specific documentation (SOPs, troubleshooting guides)
  • Participate in change management and adoption strategies to ensure successful transition to operational use
  • Demonstrate successful handover of projects to the Support team, ensuring system stability and customer readiness
  • Deliver on-site and remote support during stabilization phases
  • Monitor system performance and address technical issues promptly
  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex challenges
  • Assist software support teams with ticket triage, documentation updates, and system monitoring during low deployment activity perio
  • Collect and analyze feedback from site teams to improve deployment methodologies and inform product enhancements
  • Identify opportunities for system optimization and additional value delivery
  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases, deployment playbooks, and best practices
  • Collaborate across business units to achieve goals, maintaining compliance with corporate project processes, safety policies, and customer site requirements
