Essential Functions As a Water Resources Project Manager with RK&K your responsibilities will include design and overall management of drainage studies, design, layout and analysis of open and closed storm drainage systems for linear transportation projects, hydraulic flood studies, stormwater management, and erosion control design including: This position affords you the opportunity to fully engage to solve complex problems, provide technical evaluation, and be an integral team member for the design and analysis of water resources projects. Requirements

  • 4-year degree from an ABET accredited civil/environmental engineering program (or related program)
  • 15-20 years of water resources design experience Licensure as a TN Licensed EngineerWorking knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulics principles
  • Proficiency communicating technical information with staff and clients
  • Able to work closely with other design disciplines to determine most practical solutions,
  • Experience with common CAD and water resources modeling software including HEC-RAS, ORD Drainage, GEOPAK Drainage, and PCSWMM
  • Experience completing stormwater and or transportation projects for State DOTs and local municipalities
  • 2-dimensional stream system modeling, analysis, and design utilizing either HEC-RAS 2D or SMS w/ SRH-2D software packages

Nice To Haves

  • Experience training and mentoring junior staff
  • Experience managing engineering design and production
  • Experience with Tennessee Department of Transportation projects

Responsibilities

  • Design and analysis of storm drainage systems
  • Design and analysis of Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs)
  • Design of Sediment and Erosion Control Best Management Practices (BMPs)
  • Preparation of environmental permit drawings
  • Preparation of construction plans and specifications
  • Floodplain analysis utilizing HEC-RAS software
  • FEMA floodplain analysis and compliance
  • Design for municipal, State, and TN DOT water resources projects
