The Site Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to vertical shaft sinking operations within US mining projects. Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls, this role focuses on aligning reporting systems, optimizing cycle metrics (such as drilling, blasting, mucking, and lining cycles), tracking performance indicators, and providing actionable insights to enhance efficiency, safety, and profitability. The incumbent will handle large datasets from site operations, integrate quantitative analysis with qualitative observations, and support decision-making by identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements in shaft sinking activities. This position requires a strong grasp of data management tools, mining-specific metrics, and collaboration with project teams to ensure data-driven strategies align with project baselines and contractual obligations. The Site Data Analyst will contribute to real-time monitoring of shaft progression, equipment utilization, and resource allocation, while recommending data-backed adjustments to mitigate deviations from planned performance. Proficiency in data visualization and reporting is essential to foster a culture of continuous improvement in high-stakes underground environments.
