About The Position

The Collins Aerospace Digital Technology Program Management Office is seeking a Project Cost Analyst to support financial management, forecasting, labor tracking, and cost control across the Digital Technology project portfolio. The analyst will work extensively in systems such as SAP, Cost and Budget Reporting Application (COBRA), Planview, and must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. This role also works closely with the Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures (MA&D) team, Finance, and Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a hybrid position in Puerto Rico and requires residency in Puerto Rico.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in at least one of the following: COBRA, SAP, Planview, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Labor Tracking Compare MA&D labor hours against project plans to ensure accurate time charging.
  • Review weekly labor hours for all MA&D projects and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Support labor forecasting and validate labor charges across cost centers and projects.
  • Assign resources to work centers and support Work Center creation during reorganizations.
  • Forecasting & Financial Management Manage and update Forecast On‑Time Delivery (Forecast OTD) metrics.
  • Enter and maintain forecasts in Planview.
  • Validate that Planview forecasts are updated accurately and on schedule.
  • Perform variance analysis, identifying deviations and partnering with Project Managers for full root‑cause investigation.
  • Report variances and communicate explanations to Finance and PMO stakeholders.
  • Purchase Orders, Budget Tracking & Accruals Support PO tracking and coordinate with Finance on PO status and actions.
  • Track opportunities and overall project budget changes.
  • Prepare accruals, including standard accruals and Project‑Manager‑initiated accruals, and submit accrual information to Finance.
  • Identify capital versus expense items and prepare Electronic Capital Authorization Requests (eCARs).
  • Project Setup, Charging & Issue Resolution Set up charge codes and support new project setup activities.
  • Process, troubleshoot, and track Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) carts.
  • Research activity types related to billing statements and coordinate with technical teams as needed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Operational Support Attend daily or weekly stand‑ups to support forecast collection and understand project changes.
  • Create project investment summaries and assist Project Managers with cost and schedule variance analysis.
  • Work with Digital Technology Finance and business units to gather and validate project actuals.
