About The Position

The Project Coordinator at Hope of Life International (HOL) is a vital role focused on supporting the Director of Communications and Development in executing a comprehensive institutional fundraising program. This position aims to enhance donor engagement and support for the organization's mission to alleviate poverty and malnutrition in rural Guatemala. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for researching funding opportunities, managing donor communications, and ensuring accurate reporting and database management, all while working in a fully remote capacity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; fluency in English required; Spanish fluency preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in donor engagement, proposal coordination, and project management.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and virtual platforms.
  • Proven experience in project development and proposal writing.
  • Strong communication, organizational, time-management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to mentor and build capacity within a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and backgrounds.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, remote environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with remote collaboration tools and teams.
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct prospect research to identify potential donors and funding opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications and Development on departmental initiatives.
  • Draft and refine donor communications, proposals, and reports.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team to monitor grant expenditures and resolve discrepancies.
  • Develop and promote strategic communications to raise visibility for HOL programs.
  • Maintain and update HOL's institutional language library for proposals and reports.
  • Prepare proposal attachments and collaborate with staff in Guatemala for funding submissions.
  • Issue reporting prompts to staff and ensure timely grant reports.
  • Ensure timely submission of grant reports and donor documentation.
  • Manage project applications and reporting materials in partner portals.
  • Administer communications related to grant announcements and project updates.
  • Use Raiser's Edge NXT and other tools to monitor project performance.
