About The Position

Mission43 is an initiative of the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation that serves military members, veterans, and their spouses in the areas of education, employment, and engagement. The organization believes that after choosing to serve, military community members deserve access to the best resources available. Since its inception in 2016, Mission43 has helped thousands of veterans and their spouses advance to a better quality of life in Idaho after their military service. The Project Coordinator for Mission43 Engagement plays a crucial role in delivering engaging experiences to over 5,000 unique attendees annually. The engagement activities are diverse, ranging from social networking events to multi-day backpacking trips, military spouse self-defense courses, and various volunteer events. The ideal Engagement Project Coordinator is an energetic and self-motivated individual with a high degree of military cultural competency. This role requires someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and is willing to physically set up and tear down events. Candidates must be comfortable in various professional settings, including indoor and outdoor venues, happy hour environments, and gyms. The coordinator will assist in planning unique engagement events while also managing the logistics of setting up and cleaning up at different times throughout the week and on weekends. A successful candidate will have a variety of event-related work experience or a willingness to learn, adapt, and find solutions while maintaining a “Team/Mission First” attitude. The position directly supports the Engagement Director and Engagement Program Coordinator in managing project activities from setup to cleanup. The coordinator will communicate exceptionally with internal audiences and external clients/stakeholders, serve as a point of contact for members seeking engagement opportunities, and engage with a small supportive team. They will also develop and maintain knowledge of Mission43's Employment and Education services, attend various events to build relationships, manage a database of members interested in engagement, and assist in analyzing data and preparing reports for strategic planning. The role requires the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality in all operations.
