We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced project controls professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning, developing, and implementing schedule and cost strategies for mega projects with complex, multi-disciplinary scopes. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills and a deep understanding of project management principles to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and effectively. This position supports the nuclear development organization and plays a critical role in project monitoring, risk identification and accurate costing. Responsible for coordination, tracking, and execution of project schedules and estimates. Provide challenges, technical direction and assistance to project managers using the tools and processes for developing project scope, detailed project schedules, cost estimates, and perform detailed analysis and control activities. Monitor and assist in reporting all project schedule/scope/cost changes to project managers and management in a timely manner. Provide project management support to effectively deliver the Integrated Project Assurance Initiative The core objective (carried out through a Contractor) of the initiative is to implement centralized, integrated project management and reporting dashboards This dashboard utilizes Power BI and will allow PM's and other system users to monitor project health using consistent, real-time data across cost, schedule, risk and performance metrics This position is to support Coordination between the contractor and the utility to ensure successful task management and communications Duties include assisting the contractor in the rewriting of governance policies and procedures to align with current policies and procedures through organization of meetings, meeting minutes, action items and proactive communications to a goal-oriented service driven support role Interfacing with different departments as needed to achieve successful completion of projects such as IS, Supply Chain, Contracts, Records Management and other departments as necessary. Assisting the Project Management team in gathering information and researching solutions to assist in informed decision making Financial invoicing and reconciliation for Contracts and accruals Coordinate and integrate with client project teams and schedules and help with development of deliverables needed by the broader project organization Reporting to MPF in Richland, Washington.

  • Knowledge of planning, scheduling, estimating, work management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree and project management, business, or related field from accredited college or university and 5 year of experience in a technical field or associate degree, project management, business, or related technical curriculum from accredited college or university and three years experience in a technical field or High School Diploma/GED and 7 years experience in a technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Assistance in project management for development, understanding and following governance policies and procedures
  • Coordination and integration with client project teams to ensure effective support
  • Managing of outside technical and other consultants.
  • Project support plans and budgets, including tracking cost versus budget and ensuring costs and invoicing are in compliance with client contract requirements.
  • Assures proper progress and focus through interface with the project team, clients, related parties and management.
  • Utilize and support applications of the enterprise risk management processes and risk review and oversight committees.
  • Understand and maintain compliance with procedures and develop and maintain necessary risk identification and mitigation documents.
  • Provide administrative and technical support as assigned to projects.
  • Communicating EVMS compliance and training requirements to different organizations
