About The Position

Jedson Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented Project Controls Specialist. This role is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of Excel, basic accounting principles, and 1–3 years of relevant experience. The Project Controls Specialist will support project managers by tracking budgets, monitoring schedules, and ensuring accurate project reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 10+ years of experience in project controls, accounting, or similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with accounting principles and cost tracking is beneficial but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost reports, schedules, and forecasts.
• Track budgets, expenses, and commitments to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Utilize Excel to compile, analyze, and present project data.
• Support project managers with financial and progress reporting.
• Identify and communicate potential issues affecting budget or schedule.
• Maintain organized and accurate project documentation.
