About The Position

EPI Power is looking for an experienced Project Controls Engineer to be located on a project in Council Hill, OK! EPI Power, LLC (“EPI”) is a licensed electrical contractor and subsidiary of The Weitz Company that specializes in data centers. What You'll Do: Track and control project production rates by defining work breakdown structures (WBS), establishing production standards, measuring actual performance, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions to maintain productivity and schedule adherence. Prepare regular reports to communicate trends, progress, and improvement opportunities. Manage project controls functions including RFIs, submittals, change orders, commissioning tracking in Compass, and site logistics coordination to support efficient project execution. Support project planning and execution by collaborating with stakeholders to define scope, budget, schedule, milestones, and critical paths, while monitoring performance against established targets. Monitor and control project costs and schedules, identify risks and potential delays, and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within budget. Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders through regular meetings, reporting, and performance updates. Ensure quality, compliance, and documentation standards are met by supporting quality control processes, maintaining accurate project documentation, and assisting with contract administration and compliance with contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • An industry-related college degree is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of construction project management experience is required.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 preferred, or the willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Attention to detail, time management, judgment, communication, solid leadership, client relations, negotiation, project management, solid construction knowledge, decision-making, conflict resolution, tact, adaptable, problem solving, personal initiative and analytical abilities are all necessary skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Employee should have the ability to learn other software (ex: JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, Asta).
  • Training will be provided on company standards.

Nice To Haves

  • LEAN principles experience is desirable.
