About The Position

Exp Federal is an established full service architectural and engineering firm that provides a full range of design solutions and construction support to the federal government. Our team of professionals operates in some of the most challenging environments to provide support services to a variety of governmental agencies globally. We are seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join our team to support our Project Managers for construction and mission support type projects globally.

Requirements

  • 3-5 Years of experience working construction or construction management projects, including on-site experience. U.S. Government construction experience is a plus
  • Specific knowledge of USACE contract management a plus
  • Engineering, architecture or equivalent Construction Management Degree required
  • Experience in vertical construction, renovations and site utilities
  • Knowledge of project scheduling techniques and software (P-6 knowledge desired)
  • Must have a good understanding of construction requirements including managing the development of plans and specifications, subcontractor and material procurement, construction execution, and building commissioning
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills (English) required
  • Ability to operate independently in remote locations
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and hold a clearance

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers coordinating Production, Quality Control, Health and Safety, and international support staff
  • Monitor subcontractor performance
  • Generate internal and external project reports
  • Assist with preparing bids and proposals and providing subject matter material
  • Review project schedules. Support the development and updating of project schedules
  • Input submittals and other data into the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Resident Management System (RMS)
  • Review invoices and track billings
  • Write and review construction Safety Plans, Quality Control Plans and Work Plans
  • Review design submittals and provide comments to the design team on Design-Build projects
  • Perform site visits to confirm quality performance and project execution
  • Communicate effectively with U.S. DoD active duty and civilian personnel, staff and subcontractors
