They will build, organize, grow, and manage the Project Controls Group. The Project Controls Director will have full managerial responsibility of a group and the direction, control, and utilization of staff. They are responsible for the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality of projects.

Requirements

• 15+ years of cost and schedule experience managing complex capital projects or programs in the AEC industry.
• 5+ years of experience managing direct reports.
• Proven success managing clients and obtaining new business.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field preferred.
• Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office software applications and Primavera.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications from AACE, CMAA, or PMI are preferred.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with COO, develop tactical (1-2 year) and strategic (3-5 year) Project Controls business plan.
• Identify new business opportunities and actively prospect to develop new clients
• Lead proposal preparation, submittal, presentation, and negotiation.
• Attend industry events during or outside work hours to network with clients and prospective clients and other industry professionals.
• Recruit, hire, and develop new project controls staff.
• Responsible for training, managing, evaluating, and motivating direct reports.
• Effectively communicate with direct reports to portray information that reflects organization values and motivates and retains direct reports.
• Establish best practices, standard of procedures, policies & provides tools to ensure staff meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
• Manage staff utilization on client assignments.
• Act as lead client point of contact for project controls projects.
• Continuously cultivate and maintain positive relationships with existing clients.
• Obtain feedback about our performance and resolve any issues identified.
• Maintain a level of utilization on billable projects.
