The ALS Project Control Analyst I is a key member of the Facility Solutions Group team! Reviews and analyzes the status of assigned projects for the purpose of cost reporting. Reviews and codes AP invoices in a timely and precise manner. Provides clear and accurate cost information to management. Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field preferred.
- 1-3 Years' experience providing project accounting support for Govt. customers.
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated, proactive.
- Track record of delivering well-organized and accurate work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work well with accounting, contracts, and project personnel to accomplish tasks.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience using Deltek Cost Point preferred.
- This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities
- Coding and Review of Accounts Payable Vendor Invoices.
- Preparation of Monthly Close Deliverables to include, Accruals, Cost Analysis, Etc.
- Coding and Review of Accounts Receivable invoices to external customers.
- Assist Project Managers in all duties related to financial and performance, planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Initiate, monitor and maintain proper project setup in Deltek Costpoint via completion and submission of a project setup form.
- Ensure accuracy of project-related expense reports and ensure timely processing.
- Track contractual obligations and deliverables.
- Assist project team with: Development and execution of internal and external project reviews.
- Initiating Purchase Requisitions and goods receipts in Deltek Costpoint's Procurement module.
- Generation and analysis of financial reports.
- Customer invoice review and approval prior to submission.
- Assist with the development and submission of quarterly unbilled analysis packages.
