POSITION SUMMARY Spire Consulting Group, LLC is an established, multi-disciplined construction management and engineering consulting firm serving owners, general contractors, attorneys, financial institutions and sureties. Spire is currently seeking a project-based Schedule Manager with construction scheduling experienc e . The Schedul e Manager provides leadership, oversight, and technical expertise for construction scheduling efforts on complex projects such as data centers and airport facilities. This role is responsible for managing scheduling teams, establishing schedule standards, advising project leadership, and ensuring schedule accuracy, consistency, and strategic value across projects. The Scheduling Manager acts as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams, translating schedule data into actionable insights that support decision-making, risk mitigation, and successful project delivery. This is a project-based role in Ohio and travel to site will be required. If hired, you are a W-2, Spire employee .

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee scheduling efforts for one or multiple large-scale construction projects
  • Establish scheduling standards, best practices, and quality controls across project teams
  • Review, validate , and approve baseline schedules, updates, and recovery schedules
  • Provide strategic schedule analysis, including critical path evaluation, phasing strategies, and milestone planning
  • Mentor and manage schedulers, providing technical guidance and professional development
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for schedule-related discussions with owners, contractors, and executives
  • Support claims avoidance and dispute resolution efforts, including delay analysis and expert support when required
  • Collaborate with project controls, cost, risk, and leadership teams to align schedules with overall project objectives
  • Develop executive-level schedule reports, dashboards, and presentations
  • Develop and maintain detailed C ritical P ath M ethodology (CPM) schedules using Primavera P6 (or equivalent), aligned with contract requirements and project execution plans
  • Build baseline schedules, phase schedules, and recovery schedules for large-scale construction projects
  • Integrate contractor schedules, owner milestones, design deliverables, procurement activities, and commissioning requirements
  • Perform schedule updates, progress tracking, and critical path analysis to Client management per required format(s) and frequency
  • Identify schedule risks, logic gaps, and impacts to key milestones
  • Prepare and present schedule narratives, dashboards, and reports for project teams and clients
  • Support delay analysis efforts, including time impact analyses (TIA) and schedule forensic reviews when required
  • Coordinate with project controls, cost, and risk teams to ensure alignment across project data
  • Ensure compliance with contract specifications, owner standards, and industry best practices
  • Coordinate, generate and review design, and construction schedule baselines and progress updates for comprehensiveness, quality, and constructability
  • Coordinate with designers and contractors in relation to schedule issues/submittals as required
  • Coordinate with Client project/document control functions to ensure schedules are accurately integrated/reflected within the current project management software
  • Provide monthly status reports to both Client and Spire
  • Develop Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work defined by the contract
  • Develop schedule update narrative, summaries , and schedule variance reports as required
  • A nalyze schedule, review delays, propose schedule recovery alternatives and presents them to internal groups as well as the client
  • Analyze variances in schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management team
