About The Position

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Project Assistant in our Washington, DC office. Position Summary: GT is seeking a Project Assistant to work collaboratively with our Government Contracts department. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and an interest in how businesses interact with the federal procurement process. The ideal candidate will be interested in building a career in this critical business sector. Applicants who are considering either entering law school or a similar professional graduate program are welcome but should be prepared to make a two-year commitment to GT.

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution
  • Strong online research skills; knowledge of legal-related search tools a plus
  • Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and produces professional quality products and presentations, maintains client files and electronic databases, manages and organizes case materials
  • Conducts research for attorneys, collects and analyzes data to prepare reports and documents, and retrieves documents from court and agency websites
  • Prepares and edits legal documents, evidentiary submissions, and other documents in support of bid protests, claims and internal investigations
  • Ability to interact with outside agencies (court, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors) and coordinate activities as needed in support of cases
  • Participates in the creation and management of databases, including coordination with outside vendors and internal resources
  • Supports practice group attorneys with calendar and docket management and various aspects of document creation including legal templates
  • Assists with other department activities as needed, and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
