Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will have experience leading an architectural/engineering team in preparing documents for both new construction and renovations and preparing documents for building type projects in the Science & Technology, Federal, Healthcare and Industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will lead Architectural Design work from programming and concept design through construction documentation for projects requiring interface and collaboration with various disciplines and consultants. Ability to prepare and/or supervise architectural drawings utilizing a strong knowledge of building technology for all phases of a project. • Executes code analysis, material selections, and prepared/coordinates with specifications writer. • Conduct site and construction inspections for information-gathering purposes, and preparation of design reports. • Perform construction administration including site visits, shop drawing review, RFI review and responses and supervision of record documents • Coordinates with other disciplines. Plan, schedule, coordinate, manage and oversee the work of lower-level architects who assist with projects. • Ability to assist in proposal preparation efforts from initial request for proposal to client interview would be a plus. • Ability to make sound decisions while taking design direction from upper-level design architect and to work independently are also pluses.
